NV -11, NV Vet -11, WW Vet -10, Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> is 11 years old today. We would like to congratulate Susan and of course the owners Wenche & Svein Søreide.
We will also congratulate Susan as "The veteran Spaniel of the Year" and also as "The Springerbitch of the Year 2011.

Jan/Feb 2012
Eleven years ago we had to litters at the same time at the kennel. 29. Jan. 2001 Jack, or Ch Nimblewhit Password to Heaven was born in a litter of six. 2. Feb. was Susan, or Ch Nimblewhit in a Mellowtone born in litter with four puppies. The mothers where mother and daughter, - Ch Nimblewhit Easter Happiness, (Pernille) & Ch Nimblewhit Midnight Affair (Liz). The first weeks the litters lived apart, but gradually we put the mothers and the puppies together. This was a great success as the puppies very quick realized that they could be fed from both mothers, and choose the one with most space.

As the puppies grew up, it of course became necessary for the mothers to educate there small ones, and it was very funny to see that they then had full control over "mine and yours" puppies. If a puppy needed a "slap", it was always the mother who carried it out.

Jack, or Int Ch NUCh NLCh LuxCh Tysk Club CH Tysk VDH Ch Nimblewhit Password To Heaven>> was first sold to Germany. Of various reasons we wanted him back, and in August 2004, - 3 1/2 years old, he was back here with us. By then he was already a champion in Germany, The Netherlands and Luxemburg. He also had two CC's from Finland an a lots of titles from various countries.

Susan or NV -11, NV Vet -11, WW Vet -10, Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> lived here with us nearly two years before she moved to Wenche & Svein Søreide in Bergen. The story after that is well known as Susan became one of the most-winning springers ever in Norway.
 
   
Here is Jack 10 month old.  Susan 9 month old. 
 
After his arrival Jack became Norwegian & International Champion, and he has sired several litters. He has also qualified in the field.

Susan with her exceptional show-carrier that among others resulted in 54 BOB's, also became a Tracking Champion, and she is an Approved searching dog on wounded game. She has also qualified in the field
 
I 2006 was Susan & Jack competitors in Bergen. To he left well known Frank Kane judged Susan BOB and Jack BOS at  BSBK, and to the right Kari Granaas Hansen did exactly the same at NSK the next day.
 
 
Jack "retired" years ago, and according to Wenche, Susan will now do the same. They will for sure meet this summer, and we hope that will carry on for many years to come.

This week-end there is the Norwegian Winner at Lillestrøm named "Dogs4all". The judge for Eng. Springer is Frank Bjerklund (Westaway). Wenche brought Susan by train from Bergen, something that turned out to be smart as it has been a terrible weather all the week-end.
WW Vet -10 Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> did it again, and became Best Bitch, BOS and got the title "Norwegian Winner 2011".
I the Veteran final she won BOB, and the title "Norw. VeteranWinner 2011".

24-25 September 2011
It has been two Shows in Bergen this week-end. Saturday BSBK had their Show, and Sunday NSK Bergen/Hordaland had their Spaniel Special Show.
WW Vet -10 Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> won Saturday Best of Breed under springer-specialist Frank Bjerklund. She was placed 3rd in the Group and also BIS Veteran under Paula Heikkinen Lehkonen.
Sunday she became Best Bitch and BOS under Siv Sandø.
 
Susan became BOB at BSBK under springer specialist Frank Bjerklund.
Katuliz Mr. Tambourine Man ended as BOS.
 
Susan became BOS at NSK avd. Bergen Hordaland.

10. & 11. September 2011.
This week-end there has been two Shows in Rogaland. aturday it was an Internasjonal all breed Show with Gøran Bodegaard judging the breed. Søndag var det NSK avd. Rogaland som var arrangør med Marjo Jaakkola som dommer. Vi var påmeldt, men kraftig forkjølelse og feber tvang oss til å bli hjemme denne gangen. Ekstra gledelig var det da at Wenche og Svein hadde tatt turen, og de fikk mange flotte resultater.

WW Vet -10 Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> ble 2. Beste tispe lørdag. I finaleringen ble hun også BIS 2 Veteran under Jochen Eberhardt.
Søndag ble hun beste tispe og BIM. Ikke dårlig for en tilsynelatende evigung tispe på over 10 1/2 år.

August 2011.
Fra torsdag 11. august ble de Nordiske Jakt og Fiskedager avholdt på Elverum. Dette er et stort arrangement som strekker seg over fire dager, og hvor du kan få kjøpt alt som tenkes kan innen jakt og fiske. Det blir også avholdt hundeutstilling for jakthunder, og i år var det første gang spaniels fikk være med.
Tre hunder fra vårt oppdrett ble stilt, og det var veldig gøy da de ble plassert som de tre beste tispene.

Vi reiste som vanlig avgårde med campingvogna, og på Elverum var det bestilt plass rett over veien for inngangen til utstillingsområdet. Wenche og Svein kom med bobil, og det samme gjorde Sveins søster Berit med mannen Terje. I tillegg kom Sveins meget jaktinteresserte nevø Trond med datteren Andrea som begge overnattet i telt.
 
Det ble en meget trivelig langhelg, med masse god mat og drikke.
 
Svein kom med ett kjempefat med krabbe. Det smakte helt nydelig, og her har Karin sikret seg den største kloa.
 
Her er det kaffe avec.
 
Helgen etter hadde vi meldt på Ella til NKK Oslo som foregikk på Bjerke travbane, samt NSK avd. Oslo/Akershus som ble avholdt på Årvoll skole. I uken mellom Elverum og Oslo dro vi sammen med Wenche og Svein på en tur innom Sverige. Fredag skilte vi lag, Wenche og Svein reiste hjem til Bergen, mens vi parkerte vogna på Bjerkebanen.
NUCh Nimblewhit Late Arrival>> ble stilt begge dager, - lørdag for Trudy Short, og søndag for Sue Young. Lørdag ble hun plassert sist i championklassen, mens hun søndag vant samme klasse med stort sett de samme hundene som konkurrenter. Hun ble også plassert som 3. Beste Tispe.
 
 
4. June 2011.
This week-end there is an International all breed Show in Drammen.
WW Vet -10 Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> won BOB in the Breed and also in the Veteran finale. And that isn't all -
Nordisk Ch Nimblewhit Winter Affair>> became 2. Best Bitch. The judge was Niels Brandstrup.
Congratulations to Wenche & Svein with these great results.
 
We took the trip to Norrkøping this week-end where the Swedish Springerclub had there Club Show. Bob Jackson judge the bitches and his wife Frances the dogs.
NUCh Nimblewhit Late Arrival>> received a good critique, but wasn't made up. But we had a nice trip and met a lot of friends.
 
 
28-29 May 2011.
This week-end the Norwegian Spaniel Club had two Shows at Hadeland. Saturday it was the yearly Main Show with Per Iversen as judge. Sunday avd. Buskerud had their with Marjo Jaakkola judging.

After the Shows we took a few days off with Wenche & Svein at a campsite nearby the showground.

WW Vet -10 Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> became BIS 2 Veteran at NKK International in Bergen. Bjarne Sørensen judged the breed, and Hassi Assenmacher the finals.
 
 
January 2011.
It,s time for a little review over the past year, - a year with a lot of brilliant results.

WW Vet -10 Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> must still be the first to be mentioned after another year with great results. One of the highlights was the Show in Rogaland in May where Susan received her BOB number 50. Another was the World Winner Show in Denmark in June where she got the title "WW Vet 2010". Susan also became the "Veteran of the Year" and third at the competition of the "Springer of the Year". Not bad considering she will be 10 years in February.

Nordic Ch Nimblewhit Winter Affair>> must also be mentioned after a successful year. The highlight must be her Best in Show at Førde in April. Amy won BOB four times, and was placed in the group at several occasions.

NUCh Nimblewhit Late Arrival>> received her qualifying CC in Trondheim, and got the title Norwegian Show Champion.
 
Nimblewhit My Little Honey>> & Nimblewhit Heritage Softail>> must also be mentioned as they both received their second CC the past year.
 
 
 
27. and 28. November 2010 there havs been held two great Shows. Saturday NSK had their 75 Years Anniversary Show near Drammen. With nearly a hundred adult Springers entered, this was a new record in Norway. Kay Woodward (Wadeson) judged the bitches, and her husband Colin the dogs.

Sunday NKK had their Nordic Winner in Lillestrøm, and Moragh Bolton-Lockhart was judging.

WW Vet -10 Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> was Saturday handled by Karin. She won her class and ended as BOS Veteran.

Sunday she became BOB Veteran.

NUCh Nimblewhit Late Arrival>> wasn't placed in the champion class.

Today, Fitjar - Stord Hundeklubb at the western part of Norway had there traditional Show with all the groups represented. The judge for springer and group 8 was Matti Tuominen.

Nimblewhit My Little Honey>> got a Ck, and ended 3. Best Bitch.

This week-end The Norwegian Kennel Club had an International All Breed Show at the Olympic hall Vikingskipet at Hamar. Christen Lang judged the Springers, an had an entry of 40
WW Vet -10 Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> did again fantastic as she won 2. Best Bitch and BOB Veteran. In the big ring with a lot of breeds represented, Susan for the eighth time this year won BIS Veteran.

To reach the top again and again in the big rings, you of course first of all need a good dog. But that isn't enough. You need someone who can present the dog in super condition and coat. You also  need a top handler, just the way Wenche present Susan every time she's in the ring.

25-26 September 2010
This week-end there has been two Shows in Bergen.
Saturday at BSBK Monique Van Brempt from Belgium judged the breed, Børge Espeland judged the group, and Hans van den Berg from the Netherlands judged BIS Veteran.
Sunday NSK avd. Bergen/Hordaland had their Spaniel Speciality. Rita Kadike-Skadina from Latvia was judging the Show.

Nordic Ch Nimblewhit Winter Affair>> won Best of Breed both days. She ended as 2. in group Saturday, and as BIS 3 Sunday.
WW Vet -10 Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> did very well again. Saturday she endes as BIS 2 Veteran in a big ring, and Sunday as 2. Best Bitch and BIS veteran.

Today NSK avd. Telemark had their Autumn Show at Skien. The judge Frank Bjerklund (Westaway) had an entry of 38.

13-09-2010
The last week we have been touring in our caravan. We started at Rygge last Friday as  NSK avd. Østfold had their traditional Show there. Lisbeth Campbell was judging the springers, and had 43 entries.  Wenche & Svein took the long trip east in their mobile home, and the plan was a week holiday together.
WW Vet -10 Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> did it again. She won Best of Breed, was BIS Veteran and ended as BIS 2. Susan is now 9 1/2 years old, and at this point she's in the lead of the competition "Springer of the Year". But there are still several Shows left, so nothing is settled yet.

After the Show, we crossed the Oslo fjord, and headed south. We made the first stop in Lillesand, and stayed for two days. The weather was lovely, and the camping ground was close to the town centre, so we walked all the dogs into the city.
 
We are on a cafè, and Wenche treated us with Ice Cream. The dogs was served two buckets of water. .

At the evening we made some nice food on the grill.
 
Then we headed west. We spend the night at a place in Egersund. Svein is a keen deer hunter, and the hunting season starts 10. September here in Norway. So Wenche & Svein decided to travel home. It's important to participate the first day. We stayed a few more days before we travelled home.

Today, AHF, the association of the Norwegian judges, had their 75 years jubilee All Breed Show  at Hellerudsletta north of Oslo. The judge, Bente Bjerkås, had an entry of 26 English Springers.

Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> did again very well, and ended as BIS 2 Veteran among a lot of Veterans.

July 2010.
We have again taken a long trip in our caravan. First we headed against Trondheim, and Saturday 3. July it was an International All Breed Show at Leangen. The judge here was Stig Arne Kjellevold.
Nimblewhit Late Arrival>> was entered in the open class, and we were very happy as the judge put her up as Best Bitch with CC and Cacib. This was her qualifying CC, and she got the title Norwegian Show Champion.
The next day NSK avd. Trøndelag had their Spaniel Special Show. Jostein Halvorsen was judging. Ella received a CK, but wasn't made up to the finales.
We got some trouble with our car, but after a few days in Trondheim we headed south to Tvååker, about 100 kilometers south of Gothenburg in Sweden. Frank Kane was judging, but Ella wasn't made up here.

On our tour we spend one night on a camping-ground a bit south of Otta. Here is the view from our caravan.

23-26 June 2010
We have been away to attend "the World Dogshow 2010". This is a huge Show over four days, with nearly 20000 dogs entered. This year the show was at Herning in Denmark. We travelled as spectators without our dogs.

Wenche og Svein Søreide took the trip in their Mobile Home,
Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> was showed in the Veteran class, and Susie Svoldgaard judged the bitches. She made up Susan as winner of the class, and she received the title "World Winner Veteran 2010". She was the only Norwegian Springer with a World Winner title this year.

Today the Norwegian Spaniel Club had their Show in Tønsberg. Lena Stålhandske from Sweden had an entry of 39 English Springers.

Int S N UCH NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> won again Best of Breed. Later on, in the big ring, she also received BIS 3 Veteran. A big congratulation to Wenche & Svein.

This week-end it was a double up at Jevnaker. Saturday the Norwegian Spaniel Club had their Main Show. Helle Dan Pålsson from Denmark was judging. Sunday the local section had their show. The judge  was Michael Kristensen, also from Danmark.

May 2010.
This spring we took a new trip with our caravan, and we brought all our five dogs with us. First we travelled to the double up at Orre south of Stavanger where Sør-Rogaland Brukshundklubb had their Show 1. May, and NSK avd. Rogaland at Sunday 2. May.

Int S NUCh NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> was  Saturday Best of Breed, and this really became an unforgettable day as this was her 50. BOB. An amazing day for Wenche as handler, but also Svein who walk and exercise the dogs for hours every day. Susan ended the day as 2. in Group and BIS 2 Veteran.

The day ended very well as Nordic Ch Nimblewhit Winter Affair>> won  2. Best Bitch.
Nimblewhit Heritage Softail>> won 3. Best Bitch and got her second CC.

At the Spaniel Club Show the day after Susan ended as 2. Best Bitch and BIS 2 Veteran.

It became a nice party after the Show Saturday. Wenche served deer - meat, as Svein is keen on deerhunting.
We also celebrated with champagne.
 
Sunday evening we headed south with Wenche & Svein who travelled in their mobile home. We stopped  on a lovely camping ground called Brusand Camping a bit north of Egersund. The temperature was rather low, but the sun was shining all day long. We stayed two days, and had some very nice walks in the lovely landscape at Jæren.

Tuesday we headed south again, and had a few days in Lyngdal before we stopped in Kristiansand Friday. Saturday the Spaniel Club had their show nearby the camping ground. Frank Whyte was judging. The day after The Norwegian Kennel Club had their all breed International Show. Leif Herman Wilberg was judging  this show.

This week-end there has been two Shows in Bergen. Saturday it was NKK International All Breed Show. Inge E:Son Thor from Sweden was judging. Sunday the Norwegian Spaniel Club had there Spaniel Special. Judge was Anne Buvik (Stormbird).

A small jubilee.

Today, 19. February, it is twenty years since our first litter was born. The father was Gofield Gentle Jack, and the mother was Int. NUCh NV 91-93 Brigadoon Scarlet’s Nimblewit. It was born seven puppies, 4 males and 3 bitches. The first born was a bitch that we kept here. We called her “Julie”, and she was registered NUCh Nimblewhit Amusing Nature.

All our dogs of today have Julie in their pedigree, and she is for example great–great-great-grandmother to “Ella”, Nimblewhit Late Arrival, our youngest here today.

Today it was a Show with all groups represented at Ølen.  Laurent Picard from Switzerland was judging. Three dogs bred by us was entered, and we must be very satisfied as they ended as the three Best Bitches.

Nordic Ch Nimblewhit Winter Affair>> was 2. Best Bitch.
Nimblewhit My Little Honey>> won the CC, and ended as 3. Best Bitch. This was her second CC.

To day it has been the Norwegian Winner, and for the first time in the new Norwegian Trade Fair at Lillestrøm. Helene Bjørkman from Sweden, well known for her Barecho Springers, was judging.

To day Kongsberg Hundeklubb had their traditional November Show.Theo Leenen was judging  36 adult Springers.

Nimblewhit Well Done belonging to the Sylte family got a CK from the workingclass, and he ended as 3. Best Dog. A big congratulation to the owners, and espessially Bjørn with his nice handling.

This week-end it was a Show at Stord, in the western part of Norway. Wenche & Svein took the trip in their mobile home.
Nordic Ch Nimblewhit Winter Affair>> won BOB. The judge was Kari Haave, best known for her "Travis Cocker Spaniels". Amy ended as Second in the Group under Arja Koskelo from Finland.
Int S NUCh NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> ended as 4. Best Bitch, and BOB Veteran. Susan ended as BIS 4 Veteran under Ritva Raita, also from Finland.
This was the last show this year for the "Ladies from Bergen".

Arild Bergstrøm took the trip to Stord as well.

SF UCh Nimblewhit Indelible Touch>>  has recieved a 1. price on a tracking triel in Äetsä. She got 49 out of 50 possible points, and became Best Dog in this triel. Sissel is by this qualiefied as Finnish and Swedish Tracking Champion.

This weekend there has been two Shows in Bergen. Saturday BSBK had a show with most breeds represented, and Sunday NSK avd. Bergen/Hordaland had their Spaniel Special Show.
Nordic Ch Nimblewhit Winter Affair>> ended Best of Breed both days. Saturday Monica Blaha from Austria was judging, and later on she also rewarded Amy with 2. in the Group.

Sunday the Norwegian judge Børge Espeland also picked out Amy as BIS 2.
Int S NUCh NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> ended Saturday as 3. Best Bitch,  and she ended as BIS 2 Veteran under Dan Ericsson in the veteran finals.

This week-end we have visited two Shows in Oslo. Saturday NSK avd. Oslo/Akershus had their Spaniel Special with the springerspecialist Ann Corbett (Trimere) judging. Sunday the Norwegian Kennel Club had International All Breed Show with qualification for Crufts, and Eeva Rautala was judging.

June - July 2009
24. June we headed towards Trondheim with our caravan and all the dogs. We spent the first night in Gudbrandsdalen, and the next up on the mountain Dovre. Saturday it was a spaniel special show by NSK avd. Trøndelag. Kari Granaas Hansen was judging 57 English Springers.

The next day the Norwegian Kennel Club held their Internasjonal Show at Stjørdal just north of Trondheim.
Nimblewhit Late Arrival>> was second in the intermediate class with a CK.

After the show, we headed south again. The target was a show at Rottneros in Sveden the following week-end. On our way we visited family at Tydal in their new cottage. We had a lovely day up in the mountains Sylene.

4. July we arrived to Rottneros Park. The showground was inside the park, a lovely place well worth a visit.

This week-end it has been two shows at Jevnaker. Saturday the Norwegian Spaniel Club had their Main-Show this year, and Saturday the local region Buskerud had their Show.
Saturday Stig-Arne Kjellevold judged, and Sunday Jan Roger Sauge was judging.

At the end of April we travelled to Stavanger with our five dogs in our caravan. There we met Wenche & Svein Søreide and MariAnne & Arild Bergstrøm with their mobile homes. We were all allowed to park close to the show-ground.

1 . May Sør-Rogaland Brukshundklubb had their show with Marian Sloan judging.

Int S NUCh NVCh Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone>> was 2. Best Bitch, but ended as BIS Veteran.
Nimblewhit Heritage Softail>> won open class with CK.
Nimblewhit My Little Honey won the intermediate class with CK.
Nimblewhit Late Arrival>> got a 1. price from junior class.
Nordisk Champion Nimblewhit Winter Affair became BOS.

The next day NSK avd. Rogaland had their show at the same place. Because of illness Frank Bjerklund (Westaway) stepped in as a reserve judge.

Nordisk Ch Nimblewhit Winter Affair>> won 2. Best Bitch.
Nimblewhit Late Arrival>> got her first CC from the junior class, and ended as 3. Best Bitch.
Nimblewhit Heritage Softail>>  won the open class with a CK again.
Nimblewhit My Little Honey was second in the intermediate class with HP.
 
The next day we headed south with Wenche & Svein. The target was Kristiansand next week-end for two new shows. It was a very nice trip, and we camped several places before we reached Kristiansand the next Friday.

Here are Karin, Wenche & Svein at Borestranda in Jæren. This is the longest beach in Norway, with a lot of wind and waves, - perfect for  surfing.
 
9. May it was International All Breed Show in Kristiansand. The judge was Giuseppe Allesandra from Italy.

The next day NSK avd Agder had their Spaniel Show. Gareth Lawler (Roqfolly) from Wales was judging.

Nimblewhit Late Arrival>> received her second CC, and ended as 2. Best Bitch.

The day after we returned home after a long trip with great results and a lot of experiences.

This week-end there has been two shows in Bergen. Saturday Erling Kjær Pedersen from Denmark judged 22 english springers at NSK, and Sunday Hans Rosenberg from Sweden judged at the NKK International.

Today was the first show this year at NSK avd. Telemark. The judge Bente Bjerkaas had 40 entries.
Nimblewhit My Little Honey was 2. best junior with CK. Owners are Marianne & Arild Bergstrøm.
Our own  Nimblewhit Late Arrivel had her debut with 3. best junior with CK.
Nimblewhit Well Done got a first price in open dogs. The owners are fam. Sylte.
