We, Karin and Per Løkken live in Andebu in the beautiful county of Vestfold. We live in the countryside with the forest as our nearest neighbour, the springer spaniels’ true element.

We are both from Oslo, but were fed up with the hustle-bustle of city life. We wanted to keep more dogs, and we started looking for a house in the countryside. We moved here in -88, and have never since missed life in Oslo. Karin is now working full time with our dogs.

We acquired our first spaniel in -79, a cocker. After some time we fancied a somewhat bigger breed, and our eyes fell upon the English Springer Spaniel. We got our first from the Brigadoon kennels of Sweden, a beautiful black-white & tan male with the most appealing temperament. He really made us realize the multiple qualities of the Springer Spaniel. We were novices, but eager to learn, and this dog was the key to learning as he had all the essential qualities. We practiced obedience, tracking and field trialling, and he became a highly merited show- and tracking dog. His title was eventually Int N SF UCh N VCh Brigadoon Chocolate Twister, a wonderful dog in all respects.

Five Nimblewhit Champions

We were very lucky indeed when we bought a puppy bitch from kennel Brigadoon. She was named Int NUCh NV 91-93 Brigadoon Scarlets Nimblewit, and she became the foundation for our breeding, her name gave the idea to our kennel prefix, and you will find her behind every puppy who is born here today.

We are truly concerned of the English Springer Spaniel as an all-rounder. Per judges field trials and qualifiers, and we are both active handlers at dog shows.
